The Thunder and Lakers have agreed in principle on a deal that would send guard Dennis Schröder to LA in exchange for Danny Green and the 28th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

This move comes ahead of the NBA transaction window opening tomorrow afternoon.

Oklahoma City will own the 25th and 28th pick in Wednesday’s draft, with more deals potentially on the horizon in the coming days.

For Oklahoma City, this is the first domino to fall in Sam Presti’s quest to acquire as many assets as possible in the Thunder’s rebuild. Danny Green, a seasoned 3&D guard with four NBA Championship rings, has value as a mentor to the Thunder’s young core, that can also be flipped later in the season for more assets.
