The Thunder lose to the Heat 103-90.
The Thunder looked like they might make a late push in the game, but PJ Tucker hit a corner three to end a 7-0 run.
SGA never quite got going. 10 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists (2-11 shooting) for Shai.
A few season-highs: Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Aleksej Pokusevski.
Poku ended the game with 11 points on 5-6 shooting.
He also added a huge 7 points in the third quarter to keep the Thunder in the game.
16 points on 4-6 for three for JRE. He also added 5 boards and 2 assists.
JRE looks like he can truly become something for the Thunder with this rebuild. Shoutout Presti.
While Bazley didn’t have the most productive offensive game (7 points, 2-7 shooting), he had 5 blocks, which is his new career high.
Lu Dort continues his streak with his fourth straight 20 point game, and it looks like his offensive game is feeling good again. 20 points, 3 assists, 4 rebounds for Dort on 50% shooting.
Josh Giddey finished with a Draymond-esque statline: 6 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists.
Aaron Wiggins was the first sub off the bench. He played 20 minutes and hit two threes in only his second career game.
The energy was great in the first half, not so much in the second half as the Heat continued to extend their lead.
Turns out, it’s way harder to make a comeback when SGA’s offensive game is up to par.
Only 7 minutes for Tre Mann, 8 minutes for Mike Muscala.
NEED more Tre Mann minutes. He’s too good to only get 7 minutes.
No answer for Tyler Herro, who finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists while shooting 5-8 on three pointers.
Duncan Robinson adds 21 points while shooting 5-12 on three pointers.
Don’t expect Shai to have too many games like this one tonight. If SGA even gets 18 points or so, the landscape of this game looks very different.
Next game is Wednesday against the 1-13 Houston Rockets. Don’t look at who their one win is.
