Pictures & Reactions to 2021 City Edition Uniform Reveal

The Thunder officially unveiled their 2021-2022 City Edition uniforms and alternate court on Monday morning. The new court is a first for Oklahoma City. While changes to the colors and striping have been made since 2008, OKC has never had an alternate court. The all-white jerseys mix elements from past Thunder uniforms.

The Thunder also announced that every Friday, starting November 12th, will be City Night. The Thunder will wear the iced-out uniforms and play on the alternate court on these days. The Thunder are scheduled to play in the City Edition uniforms 14 times this season:

Fans interested in purchasing City Edition gear and tickets for the City nights can visit the Thunder’s website for more details.

While fan reaction was mixed during the jersey leaks last month, the Thunder’s official release has apparently changed some minds. Social media feedback has been very positive since Monday’s release, with many fans excited to see the new uniforms paired with the alternate court.

Let’s face it, the Love’s patch is not going away any time soon. If there is one constant complaint about the Thunder’s jerseys is the bright yellow square on the upper left chest. On these jerseys, devoid of any colors, that patch stands out more than ever. Other teams jerseys/jersey sponsors seem to work together at times to match the sponsor to the jersey. I just don’t think it’s too much to ask to get rid of the big yellow square.

The Thunder’s jersey is definitely a Top 4 look in the release of the NBA’s City Edition uniforms. The Nets, Nuggets, Timberwolves, Spurs, Bucks, and Rockets are all pretty great in my humble opinion .
